Internal Shell
A stove within a stove
The hidden gem of the Signature stove design is its internal shell, effectively another stove inside the stove.
Air is drawn in from the stove's rear, fed between two layers of steel and precisely dispersed over the fire through a series of holes inside the chamber.
Having the air introduced high up in the chamber is an effective way of re-burning the initial smoke and pollutants created by the fire.
The air that is not dispersed through these holes speeds up as it rises over the fire and is released like a curtain of air over the glass, helping to keep it clean and clear of smoke stains.
Construction
Long-Lasting Hybrid
Signature Stoves are made from up to 8mm laser cut Q235B carbon steel and all have a heavy duty 30mm thick virgin ore, cast iron door.
Each of our stoves is lined with thick 30mm vermiculite boards that protect the stove's shell and an internal steel baffle which is removable for sweeping.
Each part of a Signature stove is well designed and engineered but not over-complicated; too often stoves have over-complicated systems that do not stand the test of time and can be incredibly expensive and complicated to fix. We confidently offer a 7 year warranty on this product.
Certifications
Ecodesign / Defra / clearSkies
The Signature range has been rigorously tested and approved to burn wood in smoke controlled zones.
Our Defra-approved stoves are easier to install thanks to their 5" flue outlet which can be fitted to a 5" liner.
Signature Stoves are also Ecodesign compliant, a test even more stringent than Defra's.
And to top it off, we have gone one step further and had the Signature Wide stove approved by the highly respected clearSkies scheme, gaining a score of 4, with the Signature 5 expected to be awarded the top score of 5.
